“Without community, there is no liberation.”

― Audre Lorde

Being the eldest daughter from a family of Nigerian Immigrants, I have the empathic understanding and awareness to address the hardships that come from living and finding yourself between two cultures. As a recent grad from Roosevelt University, combined with my background and experiences as a clinician, I’m equipped to work with clients of diverse populations, with a focus on Black & IPOC, Queer identified individuals, and others from intersecting marginalized communities.

My goals with the clients who allow me to support them through their mental health journey, are to provide them space to comfortably process experiences, develop personal skills, and embrace underappreciated aspects of themselves. While practicing from an Existential-Humanistic approach, my desire during our time together is to further facilitate your self-reflection and personal growth, all while fostering an honest, and culturally competent therapeutic relationship.

My experience in this is geared towards individuals in early to later adulthood and ranges from general anxiety/depression to tackling neurodivergence, navigating difficult family dynamics, addressing post-quarantine adjustments, and processing life changes.

As an active member of the Chicago community, I’ve been able to create and participate in spaces that honour Safety, Rage, Accountability, Radical Joy, and Acceptance. I’m driven towards the liberation of all Black and Indigenous peoples, through the accessibility of this, and other types, of care.
